SHIMBA HILLS EXCURSION
You will be picked from your coast hotel at around 6.00 am and drive to Shimba Hills, a distance of 35 kms from Diani. Shimba Hills is a tropical rain forest which covers an area of 202 km2. Physical attractions include casuarinas forests, Marere Dam, Sheldrick Waterfalls. The landscape is grassland. Shimba Hills offer breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley and its surroundings. Animals seen in this area include elephants, buffalos, giraffes, impalas, monkeys, heartbeasts, rare leopards, attractive sable antelopes, roan antelopes and many different species of birds. After your game drive, you will enjoy lunch at Shimba Hills Lodge, where you have good chances to see animals at the water hole. After lunch, another game drive and drive back to the hotel arriving in the late afternoon.
