Amboseli Nationalpark Kenya
The original Ol Tukai Lodge was established for the film team that produced the film “The Snows of Kilimanjaro” in 1948. 1996 the lodge reopened after going through substantial restructuring and renovation. Route
You will spend a couple of exciting days in the following national parks which I would like to introduce to you. With all their variety and diversity, they have one thing in common: the beauty and fascination of African wilderness.
The park is located near the Tanzanian border, a wide savanna, bordered by the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. Its summit is covered in ice all year round. Mountain as well as park became world famous in Earnest Hemingway’s novel “The snows of Kilimanjaro”.

Tsavo East Nationalpark, stretching over 11,747 m2, is larger than its western sibling. Its landscapes though are much drier and by far less diversified. Itinerary
Day 1: Hotel – Tsavo West National Park
Pick up at 6.00 a.m. Drive 230 km to Tsavo West National Park. Check in. Mid morning game drive til 1.00 p.m. Lunch at your Camp. Afternoon game drive at 4.00.p.m. til sunset. Dinner and Overnight in the camp/lodge.
Note that Sarova Saltlick Lodge is outside Tsavo West in Taita Hills and Ziwani Camp in another private game reserve.
Day 2: Tsavo West National Park – Amboseli National Park
Breakfast and check out for enroute game drive to visit Mzima Springs. Drive 150 km to Amboseli National Park. Lunch at the camp/lodge. Afternoon game drive at 4.00 p.m. til sunset. Dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Tsavo East National Park
Breakfast and check out at 7.00 a.m. for game drive enroute to drive 350 km to Tsavo East National Park. Lunch in the camp/lodge. Check in for afternoon game drive at 2.00 p.m. til sunset. Dinner and Overnight in the booked camp/lodge.
Day 4: Tsavo East National Park – Mombasa
Early game drive starts at 6.30 a.m. til 8.30 a.m. for breakfast. Check out and have enroute game drive. Drive 160 km to Mombasa wit lunch near Voi. Arrive at the beach in the late afternoon.
