Excursion to the Shimba Hills
Pickup from your hotel at around 6:00 AM and drive to the Shimba Hills, just 35 km from Diani. Enjoy a game drive and visit the Sheldrick Waterfalls. Shimba Hills is a tropical rainforest covering an area of 202 km². Points of interest include the Casuarina Forest, the Marere Dam (a drinking water reservoir), and the Sheldrick Waterfalls. The landscape features grasslands, home to elephants, buffalo, giraffes, impalas, hartebeests, leopards, monkeys, the striking sable antelope, and many other species.
Lunch at Shimba Lodge, where you will have the opportunity to observe animals at the waterhole. Another game drive follows, after which you will return to your hotel, arriving in the late afternoon.
